The school nurse is able to offer advice and guidance on a range of health care needs.
Reception Parents - Information
As your child has entered full time school, we would like to welcome and introduce you to the School Nursing Service. The welcome pack gives more details on the role of the School Nurse and the Service that is available via your school’s website. The School Nursing Team will be visiting the school during this academic year to complete the Height, weight and vision screening programme. If you do not want your child included in this programme, please contact the School Nursing Service on 01639 862801 or by emailing SBU.SchoolNursing@wales.nhs.uk .
We would be very grateful if you could ensure that the School Nursing Services QR code, the school entry health information, Child measurement leaflet and letter to parents/ guardians are shared with parents/guardians and are made available via your school website. These attachments are provided.
If parents do not want their child to be included in our Height Weight and Vision screening programme, they must advise us of this immediately by ringing or emailing the School Nursing Service.
