Forest Phase

Adults working in the class

Miss Davies, Miss Frost and Mrs Kift - Class Teachers

Miss Abram, Mrs Pascoe, Mrs Slee, Miss Smith, Miss Wheatley and Mr Wright.

Our Topic is...

This autumn, Forest Phase will be going on a fun learning adventure! We’ll be using play to explore the world around us, learn more about ourselves, and discover the wonders of nature.

We’ll build our reading and maths skills, solve problems, sing songs, and enjoy stories — starting with the exciting journey of Going on a Bear Hunt! Through play, we’ll learn, imagine, and grow together.

Clothing

Please ensure all clothing, coats, bags, water bottles and wellies are labelled clearly with your child's name.

Extra changes of clothing and underwear is always a good idea in case an accident happens whilst busy learning.

PE

Reception pupils will have a PE session every Monday, but we make sure children have lots of chances to move every day — whether it’s through obstacle courses, climbing, dancing, or outdoor play.

Please make sure your child wears comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing each day so they can take part in all physical activities safely and confidently.

Let’s keep moving, learning, and having fun!

Outdoor learning

Please bring your wellies and waterproofs on a Wednesday for our welly walk.

Reading Bugs

The children will bring home a book from school every Friday for you to read with them. There will be an activity for you to complete with them in the reading record. Please return the books the following Wednesday

Snack We have a Snack Bar which has a variety of fruit, toast, milk and water.  Children can access the snack bar independently and throughout the day.  We ask for a contribution of 50p a week or £2.00 a month to be given on a Monday.
